Text Fann Xu Foto Rebecka Uhlin Ursprung I utställningen Ursprung visar Sabine Offerlind Thunberg skulpturala verk där naturens sinnlighet, språk och kraft möter samtidskonstens uttryck och materialitet. Med utgångspunkt i frågeställningen “Om naturen växer här inne, hur skulle den då se ut? ” bjuder hon in stenar, murklor, träd och blommor att ta plats inne i våra rum. I detta möte mellan människa och natur uppstår något nytt och spännande. De olika rösterna blommar ut och växer ihop. Resultatet berättar en historia om vår medmänsklighet, samtidigt som det skildrar vår relation till och plats i naturen. Ursprung är Sabine Offerlind Thunbergs första separatutställning i sin hemkommun Ulricehamn. En hemkomst som känns lika självklar som den är efterlängtad, en återvändo till ett ursprung. Trots många år i storstadens puls har den naturnära uppväxten länge präglat hennes konstnärliga utforskande. Att låta naturens form ta an nya vokabulär presenterar nya frågeställningar och perspektiv. Resultatet rymmer både allvar och humor, harmoni och dissonans. Peculiur nature&nbsp; Like a pine tree that slowly changes colour of its needles, I visualize a peculiar nature in transformation with these sculptures. The terracotta ceramic with its raw material is associated with traditional artisanship and the tactility of clay from our earth. Plastic which mainly originates from the industry is presented in an innovative way, with irregular shapes and vivid colors. Medlemmarna i kollektivet besitter en bred erfarenhet och kunskap inom konsthantverkoch design, både som kreatörer och genom att leda undervisning, workshops och offentliga evenemang. De har kopplingar till institutioner som Capellagården, Handarbetets Vänner,Konstfack och Kungliga Konsthögskolan. Parts &amp; Pieces is an artist collective shaped by the thoughts, materials, processes, and interactions of the artists–craftists–designers involved. The group aims to foster an ongoing dialogue and exchange among its members, coming together to find common ground through exhibitions. The collective originally came together for Stockholm Craft Week 2022, showing a range of ceramic, textile, wood, stone, and mixed media. Kollektivt har vi haft ett antal reaktioner på detta hus, som plats för inspiration likväl som en plats att presentera konstnärliga arbeten. Återkommande tankar cirkulerade kring hur vi kunde finna VÅR väg till byggnaden, att relatera i dialog med det spektrum av identiteter som huset representerar: som historisk artefakt, ett hem, livsverk, en tidskapsel av förmögenhet och smak… Ett sätt vi kunde göra detta var att se våra verk som ytterligare lager, tillsammans i de ytor som nu stått obebodda i åratal. Som en del av Stockholm Craft Week 2024, söker våra verk nya narrativ kring personliga historier, individuella inspirationer, och flerfaldiga konsthantverksperspektiv. Shaping stories Hallwylska Museet is craftsmanship on an epic scale. As a collective, there were a number of initial responses to this house as a site of inspiration as well as a location in which to present new work. The recurring thoughts circled around how we could find our way into the building, to relate and be in dialogue with the spectrum of identities the house has or is representative of; as a historical artefact, as a domestic space, as a life’s work, as a time capsule of wealth and taste… One way we saw to do this was to see our work as a layer on top of the objects, now surfaces, that have been in place for decades.
